For Every Cloud - Donna Vale 09/21/2016 I knew I’d get on like a house on fire with artist Donna Vale the moment she opened the door to her studio space, ‘For Every Cloud’ in Langport, smiled at me and said, “ Come in! I’ve got something for you to make”. YEAH!!! :) The 'something' was actually a Somerset Cool mug, because as well as the mountains of other cool stuff Donna does (more on that in a bit), she’s recently started printing on mugs. Valley Fest - fun, frolics & funk! 09/14/2016 Ahhh. The season of standing in fields, drinking, listening to bands and inevitably getting rained on is almost over… and we miss Valley Fest! It was awesome. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a gorgeous three-day festival in the picturesque Chew Valley, overlooking some seriously stunning lakes. The backdrop really is special but more than that, it’s the kind of festival you want to put your arms around and give a massive hug to (you know, if it was actually possible to hug a festival)! I

The Poetry Box Project - Four Thoughts 09/09/2016 Every so often a little gem of an idea catches our eye and this week we discovered The Poetry Box Project - a very special venture running in Exmoor, over the last three Summers. Tin boxes, with little notebooks inside, were left out in various spots (in Dunster over this last Summer) and people passing by were simply invited to “Draw, read or write inside, and leave for the next to scribe and confide”. Do you know what? Over 6,000 people did exactly that… left their contributions whether
